Syntheses

2020-12-07

SRC wishes to recognize by means of publication the increased work that scholars have been required to perform in the face of COVID-19 restrictions. The requirement to put lectures and seminars into a more formal form can result in valuable syntheses that can be valuable to share and formally recognize as scholarly contributions. (See also Conjectures.)

While, traditionally and most often, lectures and seminar notes provide the author with a foundation for extemporizing, development, and interaction, their development into formal presentations can create syntheses that have value for students, other scholars, and the field as a whole. Like blogs, they represent evolving forms of scholarly communication that SRC wishes to recognize by peer review and publication. Those wishing to contribute are advised to contact the editor and include and outline of the proposed synthesis.
